TO SEE

CN Tower

The focal point of our engagement photo shoot and defining the Toronto skyline is the CN Tower, Canada's most recognizable and celebrated icon.

Niagara Falls

Just like our relationship, this is where Canada and US meet. We have visited many times along with hiking in the area. You can see the falls from both countries but Nakiya swears the Canadian side has a better view.

St. Lawrence Market

St. Lawrence holds a special place for us. We went here on one of our very first dates where Juzer tried to impress Nakiya with the city's historic charm and really good food. Food knows the way to her heart. All roads to good food lead to St. Lawrence Market, a city landmark more than two centuries old. Two hundred vendors sell everything from local mustard to fresh pasta, lobster to artisan bread.

The Distillery District

Who doesn't love a pop of art with many nice restaurants with patios for the summer?? This area is lined with hip indie restaurants. Nakiya's favorite thing to do is to check out the cool galleries and outdoor sculptures which of course makes for perfect Instagram photos.

Ripley's Aquarium of Canada

Juzer likes to scuba dive; Nakiya does not. The middle ground was a trip to the aquarium. Ripley's Aquarium features North America’s longest underwater viewing tunnel with more than 20,000 aquatic animals and daily dive shows every 2 hours.

Canada's Wonderland

Juzer loves Wonderland for the roller coasters and Nakiya loves Wonderland for the popcorn and food. Canada's Wonderland is a fun amusement park with thrills, splashes and so much more.

Royal Ontario Museum

The Royal Ontario Museum is a museum of art, world culture and natural history. Fun fact, we've never been! Check it out and let us know how it is :)

Aga Khan Museum

Where we enjoyed learning about the artistic, intellectual, and scientific contributions of Muslim civilizations to world heritage.

African Lion Safari

Both of our families are originally from Africa and Juzer was born in Tanzania, so this is the closest thing to "the motherland" that you will find in Canada. The African Lion Safari features a vehicle tour through the Wildlife Park of exotic animals and is also dedicated to the conservation of declining wildlife species. This place is also family friendly with a kids' water park.

Snakes & Lattes

We love a relaxing night out playing board games at Snakes & Lattes. Juzer's favorite game is Risk and Nakiya loves Code Names. They also have yummy food alongside a room full of a variety of games.

We've definitely bonded over our love for Thai food, one of our favourite date night spots.

One of our go to cuisines in Toronto, Hakka food is definitely one of our favourites.

Scaddabush Italian Kitchen

SCADDABUSH is Italian slang for “a little bit of everything”. We can never make up our minds so we love their social sized dishes (perfect for sharing) where you can try a little bit of everything.

D Spot Dessert Cafe

Juzer's sweet tooth can definitely be satisfied at this dessert cafe. This place is a sweets haven with a nice lively vibe.

Shop to your heart's content, something Nakiya definitely likes to do at the two most famous malls in Toronto located in downtown Toronto and uptown Toronto.
