Elevation Changes

As many of our guests are coming from lower elevations, please take into consideration how your body may adjust. Altitude sickness is very real and can affect anyone! Please stay hydrated and listen to your body, taking breaks as needed. Some may also consider spending a night in the Denver area before making the drive up to CB.

Crested Butte

Please note, Crested Butte is broken up into three sections - Crested Butte South, Crested Butte, and Mt. Crested Butte. Our venue is in Mt. Crested Butte, most stays in this area are within 5 minutes of the venue. Stays in Crested Butte are typically about 10 minutes away, while stays in Crested Butte South are about 15-20 minutes away.

We recommend using websites such as Airbnb, VRBO, and Iron Horse CB to find plenty of unique and cool stays in the Crested Butte area. If you prefer hotels, Mt. Crested Butte has a nice selection of hotels and lodges to choose from. Due to the small size of the town and the large volumes of summer tourists, please book lodging as soon as you can!

Flight

Denver International Airport

Denver will most likely be the most affordable airport option to fly into. From Denver, there is about a four hour drive and 4,000 ft of elevation gain to make it to Crested Butte! This drive is long, but filled with stunning views!

Flight

Gunnison - Crested Butte Regional Airport

This is the closest airport to Crested Butte. However, it is much smaller and usually more expensive. This airport is about 45 minutes from our venue.

Shuttle

The Mountain Express

The town of Crested Butte has a free shuttle system! There are designated spots from downtown all the way up to Mountaineer Square, where most of the hotels are located. In addition, they have free on demand services through the app FirstTracks. FirstTracks can be scheduled throughout the day or for after hours trips (for a fee)! Please note - there are NO ride share services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) in Crested Butte, so please plan ahead!
