For those invited to the Rehearsal Dinner: Coastal Cocktail. Professional and sophisticated, but relaxed and inspired by the seaside landscape. For the Welcome Party: Smart Casual. Going out to dinner on vacation vibes. For the Wedding: Black-Tie Optional. For men that have a tux or would like to rent one, please do! Otherwise, a dark suit and tie works just as well. Please note the ceremony will be outdoors on the lawn, please consider your footwear accordingly. We will also have heel protectors available. For the Post-Wedding Sail: Casual wear, show off your best boating outfit!
We recommend staying in the downtown Newport area (whether through our hotel block at the Marriott or alternative options) as it's so easy to walk around and there are so many great restaurants/bars/shops. The venue is 15 minutes outside of downtown Newport. All other wedding events will be in Newport (welcome drinks, after party, and next day event). When booking accommodations we recommend you also consider the many smaller boutique hotels and B&Bs around downtown as well as AirBnB options (these may have better rates than our hotel block at the Marriott). For more affordable options than staying in downtown Newport, we also have room blocks at hotels in Middletown. Please note that transportation will only be provided to/from the venue here. Welcome drinks, after party, and brunch will all be downtown. We will continue to be around all weekend (most likely enjoying the raw bar happy hour at Benjamin's) and hope you can stay enjoy the weekend in Newport as well! We were able to include Saturday in our room block rates so you can take advantage of a weekend in Newport!
We will be providing trolleys for transportation to/from the wedding from each hotel block location, as well as from wedding to the after party location in downtown. We will look to accommodate additional trolley pick-up locations from downtown based on where guests are staying. Once you book your accommodations, please let us know where you are staying so we can plan. At a minimum, pickup location from downtown Newport will be available at the Marriott hotel block location. Parking will also be available onsite at Glen Manor if you choose to drive.
