Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
We met here at Wine Night in 2014 and have been together ever since. This museum holds special memories for us. Plus it's free and open 365 days a year!
Henricus Historical Park
Voyage back in time 400 years to the Citie of Henricus, the second successful English settlement in the New World! This is our venue, but it's also a living history park. Access to the historic sites will not be available during the wedding. If you would like to visit the living history park, ticketed entry is available between 10am - 4pm.
Belle Isle
An island in the middle of the James River in downtown Richmond, Belle Isle offers wooded paths, mountain biking trails, a bicycle skills area, historical sites, wheelchair-accessible fishing at the quarry pond, and a granite wall for rock climbing. A pedestrian bridge under the Lee Bridge provides access from Historic Tredegar.
The Byrd Theatre
Built in 1928, the Byrd Theatre is now a State and National Historic landmark. Tickets are $8. We highly recommend a visit!
Maymont
Maymont is a 100-acre historic estate and park, located in Richmond, Virginia, with many unique experiences for all to enjoy. Stroll through the gardens and arboretum, see native wildlife habitats, feed friendly goats, explore The Robins Nature Center and visit the Mansion. And did we mention it's free?
The Poe Museum
If you feel like kicking off the Halloween theme early, wander over to the Poe Museum to reflect on the life and works of Edgar Allen Poe.
