How did we meet?

Answer

Justin and Sam met in 2014 at Wine Night at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts through two mutual friends, Michael and Laura (both of whom are in the wedding party).

Where will the ceremony/reception take place?

Answer

Henricus Historical Park 251 Henricus Park Rd. Chester, VA 23836 Both the ceremony and reception will take place outside at Henricus Historical Park on The Bluff which overlooks the James River. The Bluff is situated behind the historical portion of Henricus. There is a gravel access road leading from the edge of the parking area directly to The Bluff.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 4:30. Please arrive at least fifteen minutes beforehand to ensure you can find your way from the parking lot to the ceremony site. The access road to the left of the parking lot will lead you directly to the ceremony site. The signs will lead right to it, but if you need help for any reason the Henricus Site Coordinator, Morgan, will be present day of to assist.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is Halloween themed (our favorite holiday) and we would love for everyone to help us celebrate by wearing family-friendly Halloween costumes. However, if costumes aren't your cup of tea, please wear cocktail attire. Please consider your footwear as the wedding is taking place outside in a field accessed by a gravel pathway.

Is there a hotel block booked for guests?

Answer

Yes! We have a block of rooms available for our guests to book at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Downtown Richmond. These are first come, first served. The rooms will be available at the discounted rate until September 29th.

I have a food allergy and/or dietary restriction. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available and an overflow lot if needed. Should the need arise you are more than welcome to leave your vehicle at Henricus overnight. You can pick your vehicle up the next morning after 8:30 am - please note the gates will not be open prior to this time.

Provided Transportation

Answer

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will have limited transport available for guests to and from Delta Hotels. There will be a 20 person shuttle leaving from Delta Hotels by Marriott in Downtown Richmond leaving at 3:30 pm. It will be first available for wedding guests staying at the hotel and then first come, first served for any remaining seats. At the end of the night there will be two shuttle times available. The first at 8:30pm, for those wishing to leave a little early, seating 20. The second at 10:15, for those wishing to head back to the Delta or downtown Richmond after the wedding (68 total capacity).
