Check out the La Chua trail to see why they call Gainesville "The Swamp". Located at the north end of Paynes Prairie, the La Chua Trail is an excellent wildlife watching site. If you're lucky, you'll see baby alligators (and their mom!)
The Butterfly Rainforest is a living exhibit that features hundreds of free-flying butterflies and birds from around the world along with an assortment of other animals including turtles and fish.

Single Vision is dedicated to the conservation of endangered species and education of the public about the need to preserve our Earth’s ecosystems. Single Vision has interactive tours where guests can enter certain enclosures, take photos, pet, and feed wildlife such as bobcats, caracals, servals, fennec foxes & lemurs.
At sunset, the largest bat colony in the USA comes out to feed. Their exit from the bat houses is definitely something to see. The bat houses are located on the UF campus next to Lake Alice.
Every Saturday the market features local farmers, local baked goods, prepared foods, meats and fish, cut flowers, plants, crafts and more! Spend a relaxing morning strolling the market.
This stadium seats over 90,000 people! A must-see if you're interested in checking out UF's campus. It's also a good spot for a workout.
