Because of the planning involved, we are asking our family and friends to RSVP as soon as possible, but no later than October 1st, 2025.
We originally weren't planning to have a traditional wedding, just because we knew the "symbolism" was lost on us - after all, we've been together 14 years now, so not much is changing! We wanted to find a way to bring together our closest family and friends for something that won't just be a wedding, but something much more memorable; an experience that wouldn't happen unless we created it. Because of the size of the venue and limited accommodations, we've invited only those who mean the most to our lives, and have shaped who we are as people and a couple. This will be an intimate experience of bringing family and friends across the world together for three special nights. The wedding starts with a dinner on the evening of June 1st, and we expect our guests to depart the morning of June 4th. All guests are invited to spend 3 nights together at Villa Nemora. We expect, and encourage, many folks to travel among Italy or elsewhere in the days before or after. We will keep everyone posted with our own plans as next summer approaches.
We are handling accommodations and will be in touch once we receive your RSVP. Please don't reach out to the venue directly; if you have any specific questions about the accommodations at Villa Nemora, please reach out to Joe or Justin directly. If you do not wish to stay at the venue and want to secure your own accommodations, please let us know as soon as possible so we can allocate rooms appropriately.
The villas are historic, built in the early 1800s by the Grand Duke of Tuscany. Villa Fabbri and Felciai, originally farmhouses, have been updated though maintain their rustic appeal. They are decorated in original Tuscan style with original antique furnishing. Every party can expect a private bedroom, bathroom and air conditioning. There is a complete kitchen and dining area in each villa, and multiple swimming pools on site. We hope this will be not only be a wedding, but a once-in-a-lifetime experience where our families can come together and create lifelong memories.
We have invited the children of our family and they are included on the invites. We would ask everyone that plans to bring their kids to please be comfortable watching and overseeing them at all times. This is a historic place; there are many places to trip, slip and fall, and things can break easily. Aside from kiddos getting hurt, we are completely responsible for any damage done to the property. If anything is broken or damaged by you or your family, we ask you to report it to us so we can let the property know.
Since we are in the countryside, there are no Ubers available. We will provide more information regarding transportation as we get closer to the wedding. We do recommend you rent a car and more on that is provided on the Travel page.
For our wedding day, we're going for a Tuscan Garden Chic vibe. Please refer to the Schedule page for dress suggestions for the other events.
If you prefer to find your own alternative accommodations, please let us know as soon as possible so we can manage rooms on-site more effectively.
If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate, but in all honesty, it may be very difficult depending on your restrictions. We are using multiple catering vendors for our events and will do our best to accommodate. If you let us know, we can inquire ahead of time. That said, we are absolutely sure everyone will thoroughly enjoy each of the meals we'll share together. European food standards and regulations are much higher than those in the States; and you will taste the difference in freshness of the ingredients in everything prepared. Some on-site accommodations have kitchenettes with standard basic European appliances (small). Until we finalize rooming assignments, we cannot tell you if you'll have these accessible.
