March 16, 2025, if you can! If you need more time to get things finalized, please just let us know.
We encourage everyone to arrive between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning so we can enjoy a weekend together at the château. While we understand that travel schedules may vary, we hope you’ll be able to join us for the afternoon activities on Saturday, and enjoy the weekend festivities with us. Most importantly, please plan to arrive in time for the ceremony at 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 25th!
Yes! There is ample parking at the château, and we have included a rental car recommendation on the Travel and Accommodations page.
We will be providing two special meals during the weekend: a Celebration Dinner on Saturday evening, May 24th, and the Reception Dinner on Sunday evening, May 25th. On Friday evening, we’ve also arranged a group dinner at La Bogue in Redon for anyone who’d like to join us for a relaxed evening together. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday mornings, the pantry at the Château will be stocked with French breakfast staples (i.e. pastries, baguettes, butters/jams, fruits, and beverages). For brunch, Justin and Mr. DeShazor plan to man the grill for some outdoor cooking throughout Saturday afternoon, and we'll also have a light grazing brunch available at the Château (i.e. quiches, cheese, and charcuterie) on Sunday. We also encourage guests to explore the wonderful restaurants in nearby Redon. If you'd like to prepare your own meal, please feel free to use the château's kitchen.
Absolutely! Please let us know in your RSVP if you have any food restrictions, and we will do our best to accommodate you during the Celebration Dinner and Wedding Reception.
The dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception is formal. For men, we recommend suits with ties or bow ties, though a tuxedo is not required. For women, elegant cocktail dresses, midi or floor-length gowns, or sophisticated separates would be perfect. We encourage attire that feels polished and refined, suitable for a celebration in a château setting. Please choose something that makes you feel your best while being comfortable enough to enjoy the festivities! We recommend ' dressy casual' clothing for the celebration dinner and ceremonies the night before the wedding — think polished, festive, and fun. No need for suits or formalwear, but feel free to look your best! For the rest of the weekend, please just dress comfortably in a way that maximizes your relaxation! For reference, Justin and Alora plan to live in their swimsuits and enjoy the pool for as long as they can before the wedding.
YES! Please bring a swimsuit for Saturday and Sunday fun by the château pool.
We respectfully request no children at our wedding celebrations.
