This central garden is the heart of the city, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and theaters. It's a great place to relax, people-watch, or catch a local musical performance. The Teatro Juárez, one of the city’s most important landmarks, is right next to it. FUN FACT: My dad proposed to my mom here.
The story goes that two lovers from different social classes were forbidden to see each other. They would sneak kisses across the tiny gap in the alley. It's a place of love and legend, and it’s famous for its narrowness. It’s a romantic spot, so if you’re with a partner, it's a must-visit! Even alone, it’s beautiful and full of local folklore. The funiculars are cable cars pulled up and down a steep railway. this fun and easy way to get a panoramic view of Guanajuato's stunning architecture and colorful hillsides. The route takes you up to Pipila, the statue on the hilltop, where you can get an amazing view of the entire city. As well as check out the small outdoor shops. Its possible to walk uphill as well, if you’re down for some exercise! There is no single street address but you can find where to purchase your tickets located right behind the historic Teatro Juárez, next to the entrance of the Minero Tunnel, in the heart of the city.
This museum is world-famous for its collection of naturally mummified bodies, many of which were unearthed from local cemeteries. The mummies are preserved due to the region’s dry, mineral-rich soil, and it's both eerie and fascinating.
