I would recommend changing dollars to PESOS here in the US prior to flying. While you can make the conversion over there (i.e., airport), they won’t give you the best bang for your buck. This would be good for street shopping and taxi from the venue to your hotel. Otherwise, credit cards are accepted everywhere. If you have a CC that doesn’t charge international fees, even better.
While they do have drivers that speak English, it is not guaranteed that yours will. They will be waiting for your party with a sign that says “Juliette,” or whatever you put on the reservation. They are used to picking up people that don’t speak their language. It will be fine!
If you are using Enlaces Turísticos as Airport Transportation, ANY flight update, inquiry you have please contact Nat via WhatsApp +52 473 164 0771 (She is great and speaks English)!
A day before your flight you will be sent an email and/or text message with the name and number of your driver. A note will be made to have English speakers, however depending on how many reservations there are, it is not guaranteed. The driver will be waiting to you with a sign, communication is not completely necessary as they know in advance where you are going, the number of people getting picked up, etc.
I will be made aware of all the groups flying in around the same time. It would be most affordable to go together, but if for whatever reason you don’t want to be grouped with another party, let me know.
YES! Please make sure it isn’t going to expire soon!
All hotels and boutiques, with the exception of the Holiday Inn (closer to reception), are walking distance from the basilica. The church is the large yellow and red cathedral, you can’t miss it! (pictured on our RSVP page). Following the ceremony, we will have vans taking you to the reception, a 10-15 minute drive. If all vans are full and you need to wait for them to come back, don’t worry, they will! If you’re antsy to just get there and would like to take a taxi, totally an option!
Unfortunately, no. There are many hotels and boutiques and logistically this didn’t make sense for us. But don’t worry! I am making sure there are a few taxis at your disposal for when you are ready to leave. If many people are trying to leave at the same time, and more taxis are needed, they communicate with each other and call in reinforcements!! :)
Yes! There are taxicabs outside of the airport. The Uber app also works well in Mexico, however not sure how long one may have to wait for their ride. Up to your discretion.
