Travel

The Wedding Website of Julie Sheldon and Ryan Blomberg
If you're joining us for the "After Party" and need a place to stay, we recommend finding a place in Loveland or Fort Collins. There are lots of nice AirBnB options as well as traditional hotels. Colorado is beautiful this time of year and we hope you take a little bit of time to explore the place we love to call home. Please note that it IS football season and CSU is a large college located in the heart of Fort Collins. We will do our best to keep you updated on any events that could cause a lot of traffic or delays.

Flight

Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport is about an hour from Loveland and 1.5 hours from Fort Collins in GOOD traffic. We recommend leaving very early for your flight since I-25 is "rush-hour" most of the day. There are multiple shuttle options if you don't want to rent a car to get to Loveland or Fort Collins. Groome Transportation and Landline are two great shuttle options.

Travel Note

Travel tips and some places to explore

Altitude: Loveland and Fort Collins sit at about 5,000 feet altitude. Estes Park park is at 7,500 feet. Be sure to drink LOTS and LOTS of water. Having an electrolyte powder to mix in your water is a good idea, too. Taking some Tylenol sinus (or sinus meds of your choice) can make the altitude a little easier to handle if you are coming from sea level. Remember that alcohol (and, cannabis - yes, it is legal here.) hits you MUCH harder at altitude than at sea level. Weather in the mountains can be unpredictable. Please be sure to check local weather before heading out on adventures. Things you should always take with you are water, sunscreen and snacks. Dress in layers. November can be freezing cold or a glorious 70 degrees and everything in between.
