Once upon a time in the West...

All because two people swiped right...

Some of you may know the fairytale of how Ryan and Julie met, but for those who don't - please settle in. We can make it short and sweet. There once was a woman who knew her twin soul was out there. One day while swiping mindlessly on Tinder she got a message from a handsome, bearded stranger. He was polite and kind and they had a wonderful conversation. (A radical change from her other encounters in the dating world.) One day while Julie was in Fort Collins running errands, they met at the Rainbow Restaurant. Julie stood casually near the entrance, with her pup, Lucy. She was trying to play it cool while waiting for the handsome stranger (Psssttt.. That's Ryan!) to get out of the car. She was trying to ignore the 10,000 butterflies in her stomach. It was like a scene from a movie - time slowed down, and her heart pounded in her chest. He hugged her. He smelled so good. His hug felt like home. She nearly fainted. He brought treats for Lucy. Her heart exploded. (Lucy was smitten, too.) They talked for a while over iced tea and coffee cake. It seemed like it was only the two of them in the world. They opted to go paint some pottery and then wandered through Old Town in Fort Collins stopping at the pet store and then going to Ace Hardware where Julie oogled puzzles and knick knacks. Ryan told her she was beautiful and shyly took her hand to cross the street. He could sense how fragile her heart was and the big wall that seemed like it would be impossible to tear down. But, Ryan was a determined man. When he took her hand, she knew the greatest love story of her life was about to unfold. That summer brick-by-brick her wall came down as Ryan showed her what love looked and felt like. They had picnics in the park, read books, laughed together, hiked all the good trails, took road trips, and tossed endless tennis balls for Lucy. They let love lead the way. And, what a amazing, fairytale empire of love they have built together. That brings us to today. Ryan and Julie were married under the magical light of the harvest moon, on the side of a mountain, in Estes Park, CO. They exchanged handwritten vows to each other expressing their love, gratitude, respect, and the promise to be each others' favorite weirdo until the end of their days. Neither has known a greater love, partner, communicator, or friend than the other.
