Getting to Newport

Closest Airport: Theodore Francis Green Memorial State Airport (PVD) in Providence, RI is a 33 min drive. Other Airports: Boston Logan (BOS) is a 1 hr 15 min drive. Public Transportation: Take the Amtrak train to Kingston station and then connect with RIPTA bus #64 to reach Newport. Driving: Newport is around a 3 hour drive from the NYC area, but we would allow considerable buffer if you choose to drive on Friday.

This is one of two hotels where we have reserved blocks of rooms and will be providing transportation to and from the wedding. This is located a little outside of Newport in Middletown, but rooms are bigger and it's substantially cheaper than the hotels downtown. Newport Marriott Hotel & Spa

This is one of two hotels where we have reserved blocks of rooms and will be providing transportation to and from the wedding. It's the more convenient of the two and therefore the pricier of the options. It's on the water and is walking distance from downtown, the rehearsal dinner, and a potential after party spot. There are often good deals here, especially if you book it through Airbnb. It's just a little bit outside of town, so it's closer than the Residence Inn, but farther than the Marriott.

Travel Note

Parking in Newport

While most people will have cars, parking in Newport is tough. There's little to no free parking, and the paid parking is pricey (up to $30 for a couple of hours). So we recommend either finding a good spot early and walking or Ubering around town. We will provide transportation between the venue and the Residence Inn in Middletown and the Marriott in Downtown Newport the night of the wedding.
