Airports

Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) is the closest airport to us at about a 1.5 hour drive. However, it is often a more expensive airport to fly into, and rental cars will probably be more expensive from here too. Idaho Falls (IDA) is a great airport to fly into and is about a 2-hour drive from us. It's smaller, easier to navigate, and less expensive. If you need any groceries or supplies for the weekend, we recommend stocking up in town before making the drive. Salt Lake City (SLC) is the closest international airport, at about a 3.5-hour drive. We recommend renting a car for ultimate freedom. There is no public transport in our valley, no taxis, and very minimal uber drivers. We are working on hiring a shuttle driver for the wedding day so you all don't have to worry about driving. Stay tuned!

Rental houses

There are plenty of rental houses on AirBnb and VRBO throughout Star Valley and we recommend this as your best option to find lodging close to the venue. The closest towns to the venue are Bedford, Thayne, and Star Valley Ranch, all about a 10-15 minute drive. Other nearby towns are Etna (20 minute drive), Afton (25 minute drive), and Alpine (35 minute drive).

Preston Ranch camping and corrals

Our venue offers tent or RV camping on the property for $7 per person per night. Campers can use the bathrooms and showers in the pavilion (where all the weekend's events are taking place). You can bring your horses and keep them in the corral for $10 per horse per night. Please let us know ahead of time if you plan to camp and/or bring horses. We also have camping gear that folks can borrow if needed!

This cute inn is a 15-minute drive from our venue, located in downtown Thayne, within walking distance to a few shops, restaurants, and bars.

We have a block of 10 rooms here - five double queen rooms and five king suites. Each room is $239/night, August 21-24. Call 307-885-4040 to make your reservation. Unbooked rooms will get released by July 31. This is a 25-minute drive from our venue and they provide breakfast.
