You will need a US passport that is valid for at least three months. Starting in 2025, US citizens will need to have an ETIAS for Italy. It is valid for 3 years and can be obtained online. Here's more information: https://www.etiasitaly.com/
Comiso Airport (CIY) and Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA).
Cocktail attire is requested.
We will be providing shuttle buses to and from Ortigia for the wedding. The exact location and timing of the pick-up and drop-off will be shared closer to the date, but it will be in a central part of Ortigia and therefore should be within walking-distance from your accommodations.
Driving can be difficult and parking is extremely limited in Ortigia, so we don't recommend it. However, if you do decide to rent a car, make sure you get an international driver's license beforehand (it is required in Italy). You can get them easily through triple AAA (in person is instant, online takes a few weeks).
To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without worrying about their little ones, we politely request that this be an adults-only event.
Reminder to please check your passport expiration dates! Your passport has to have at least six months of validity from your planned date of return. Current processing times for issuing and renewing passports can be very lengthy, so it's best to renew it ASAP.
There's a new rule for those traveling through the UK (layovers count!), and you must fill out a form for a UK ETAS Visa. It's only $15 and very easy to do at this website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta#apply-for-an-eta
