A Mehndi is a pre-wedding event for the bride and her closest female friends and family members. The main focus of the event is the application of the bridal mehndi, or henna design, to their hands and feet. Parking is available at the Chinese Bible Church, located at the entrance of the the Patel Home neighborhood. The vidhi is a series of religious ceremonies that take place the day before the wedding. Ganesh pooja is the final step taken by the bride and the groom before they enter married life. That’s why it is performed a day before the wedding ceremony. It is also a way of officially beginning the festivities. In Hinduism, it is important all the Gods and Goddesses attend the marriage ceremony to bless the couple. That’s why they are invited into this pooja to give the celebration an auspicious start. The ceremony will be begin with the Baraat, which is the arrival of the groom and his party to the ceremony site and will take place outside of the hotel entrance. As guests arrive, they are divided into the bride and groom's side. The bride's side will be directed to a meeting place while the groom's guests join the ‘mini parade’ instead of going straight to the hall. They are greeted by the other set of parents, family, and friends amidst live music and dancing. Guests will then proceed into the ballroom for the traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. The "Centerpoint" room, located on the first floor of the hotel, will be available as a hospitality room. Please help yourself to some Indian style chai tea, coffee, and small snacks.
