FAQ's about the events

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be located on the beach. Ladies, feel free to wear a dress, skirt, or even a nice pair of pants, etc. Sandals are more than fine as well, most people will end up going barefoot anyway on the dancefloor/reception. Gentlemen, please wear your normal wedding guest attire, ties are not necessary. Pants are recommended but a nice pair of shorts with loafers, boat shoes, or hey dudes are fine as well. No sandals, please. Feel free to go barefoot as well once we get to the reception.

Question

Can we book transportation in advance from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

Yes! Baha Mar offers private transportation that you MUST pre-schedule before landing in the Bahamas. On your way out of the airport, there is a designated spot for "Baha Mar" where you can check in and the front desk will get your driver ready. Here is the link to book your private car (this is optional): https://bahamar.com/transportation/

Question

Do we have to stay in the Grand Hyatt for the duration of our trip?

Answer

No, absolutely not. You can choose to stay wherever you prefer. Please do not feel obligated to stay at the Grand Hyatt if you do not prefer it. As long as you are aware you will need to take a taxi to the resort for the wedding, that is completely your choice. Airbnb's for larger groups may be a great option to save money as well.

Question

Do we need cash for anything?

Answer

Cash is optional, there are also a ton of ATM's on the resorts property. The only time you might want to take cash out is to tip any taxi drivers if you plan to leave the resort or going to and from the airport.
