Amidst the 2020 pandemic, Nate had just started in the State Police Academy and Julia was working from home for Indeed. Nate decided he would browse Instagram one day when he came across Julia's page and noticed some mutual friends/followers. He took the opportunity to reach out to Julia in hopes that she would reply even though she's never met him. Lucky enough, Nate got a response from sending a very casual "hey" with no other context. This took Julia by surprise considering we are in the middle of a global shutdown and she's wondering how in the world anyone would be shooting their shot at this time, but Nate did just that. From there, the two went out on a couple of dates which included visits to wineries and breweries with friends, romantic dinners, and the driving range. Over time, Julia and Nate welcomed into their lives their beloved furry companions, Benji and Bo. In 2021, the two built their first home together and finally, Nate sealed their commitment with a stunning sunset proposal on a family trip to Aruba. And the story continues...
