Kauwi the groom… is just okay... some days stubborn, some days grouchy, some days good house husband, and most days a good cook. Witty, intelligent, goofy, caring and loving all the time. He makes my smile a little bigger everyday he tells me something sweet. He makes me laugh harder when he does something silly or tells me a joke. Most importantly he puts up with me. We get into arguments but at the end of the day he’s still there. He preserved throughout our whole relationship, never given up on me when I have doubts on love. He showed me the true meaning of what’s it like to have someone love you wholeheartedly and in return, I love him wholeheartedly. I’ve grown to be so fond of him even though he’s so stubborn and can’t admit he’s wrong sometimes. But that’s what a relationship/marriage is. We call each other out, make jokes about each other and embarrass each other but at the end of the day we’re still a team. Thank you for making me better in all aspects of life. And most of all thanks for letting me fart on you every night when I’m sleeping. You are made for me ♥️

My purpose in life is to make Kauwi's life easier yet harder too. I want a mind reader and someone to feed me all the time. I'm perfectly imperfect for Kauwi. - Judy Judy is my better half. She’s my safe harbor in a storm, the cause of and solution to most of my problems, and the warm comforting light when the night is at its darkest. At any party, she’s the prettiest girl in the room, I can easily locate her through her charming laughter, and she never fails to make new friends by the end of the night, if not right away. She’s my partner-in-crime, my fellow foodie adventurist, my drinking buddy, my comedic relief, and the love of my life. She keeps me on my toes, at my best, and always wanting more. She annoys me, scolds me, and teases me all out of love. She came into my life like an unapologetic wrecking ball in the best possible way (with a little help from Brent and Vivian). She’s a force to be reckoned with (unless there’s a butterfly involved) and demure and girly all at the same time. Never half-assing her ventures, she pulls me into the wildest situations full of laughter, confusion, mild danger, but the best of times. I love her to death and eagerly look forward to the many adventures we’ll have with optimistic trepidation.

Charlie is the best friend a guy could ask for. I (Kauwi) have known Charlie for about 32 years going back to the second grade. Sometimes when you first meet someone, you kind of know that you’re going to be friends. This held true when I first started hanging out with Charlie in our small group of friends, but when he kicked one of our friends in the nuts during recess for no reason other than boredom, I knew that we’d be best friends! Charlie has been my closet friend since then and has kept me laughing all the way! I even introduced him to his now wife, Rachelle (who happens to be one of my favorite cousins!). We don’t hang out as much as we used to nowadays but when we do, even if it’s months apart, we can pick up the laughter and shenanigans like we never stopped. I couldn’t ask for a better person to be my best man.

Flora is the most genuine person I've ever met. She's funny, honest, amicable, straightforward and sweet. That woman deserves the world! I can never take offense to anything Flora says because she's very fair and she tells you like it is (plus she'll beat me if I do). I love that Flora doesn't like to gossip and I've never heard her bad mouth anyone. Flora gives the best advice not just because she's friends with you, but because she's very analytical. She helps you see things from different point of views and I always feel better after talking to her. She always believes I deserve the best and I should never settle. She's always advocating for me even on days that I'm not the best version of myself. Before Flora, I wouldn't really give cheese a chance. With her, we're able to explore what kind of cheese I do like. Flora goes above and beyond as a friend and this is why I want to be a good friend to Flora too. Kauwi and I were both on the same page when I said I wanted Flora to be my MOH for our wedding. It's such a good feeling to know that the man I'm going to marry sees the great qualities of a friend in Flora. He said he can tell that she has my best interest and he can count on her.

My favorite brother! Well, my only brother, but still… I remember when I was told that I was going to be an older brother at four years old and being excited (at least that’s what I remember…). I also have a memory of holding Mike as a newborn and being very happy about it but, I was told that I also walked up to him and sucker punched him not soon after that. I don’t remember that part. Anyway, Mike and I were pretty close growing up until I reached middle school and our age gap started to show. Yes, we argued over stupid crap growing up and had some wild fights but I suppose most siblings did. It wasn’t until Mike left for Air Force basic training then I realized that he was a major part of my everyday life. Someone to talk to, vent to, confide in, play pranks on, etc. and for the first time, I really missed him. Now, years later, I still miss him but he’s doing his thing in Texas raising a beautiful family with his amazing fiancé and two kids and I couldn’t ask for a better brother!
Sunny Li

Sunny is an amazing friend! I first met Sunny when I was working at Uber. She is always so sweet and nice. We would sometimes have lunch and go to happy hour together. I didn't really get to know Sunny until after she left Uber and went to Ubisoft. She referred me and I got the job. I wouldn't be able to get married without Sunny by my side. I'm proud to call Sunny my good friend. I can always depend on her and she has never said anything negative. She would always help me with anything I needed and I can definitely count on her. Sunny will never tell you this but she is an excel master! But she is so humble that she will never admit it. When Kauwi and I went to have breakfast at Sunny's, he knew she was a good friend to me. She made sure her husband made omelets without cheese for me. It's the little things that matters. That's one of MY many reasons why she's my bridesmaid!

Hamsup baak loufu! (IYKYK) Well, what can I say about Brent? If it weren’t for him Judy and I wouldn’t have met and none of this would be happening. So, first and foremost, thank you Brent! I’m thankful that you thought of me and my happiness and taking me out of my comfort zone which led to me meeting Judes. Brent and I are close in age but weren’t able to grow up together besides infrequent summer visits due to him living across the globe and myself being in Hawaii. Then after high school, Brent started his military career at Annapolis Naval Academy and continued from there. It was only after he got a command here at MCBH Kaneohe that we were able to reconnect. But, even though we were adults with our own professional careers, we were able to pick up where we left off as kids. I look forward to Fridays at my dad’s house where Brent and I slowly perfect our bartending skills and enjoy when he brings over something that he experimentally cooked (and so far he’s never made anything bad!) and goofing around to lots of laughter.
Vivian Tu

Vivian, the youngest of sisters, the youngest in general in the whole Tu household. Our bond is only stronger because we went through a decent amount of difficulties together. She had seen the best and worst of me when I was trying to navigate life. I can’t thank her and Brent enough for setting us up. This makes me believe that the kind of relationships that have higher success rates are the ones who know you and the other person independently. There’s a saying that people who match up a couple have a place in heaven. Not only does she have a place in heaven, she will always have a place in my heart because she'll always be my little baby sister. I’ve watched her grow up to be such a funny, sweet, independent woman. I look forward to her achieving more goals and finding her happiness (which I believe she did with Brent). @Brent, please take good care of my baby sister or my mom and I will pow pow you. Kauwi and I can't have a wedding without having the person who introduce us next to us at the alter.
Andre Medina
Groomsman/ Flower Dude
Andre is the sort of guy who is always willing to help, always good for a laugh, and makes sure everyone is having a great time at a party. He’s also the sort of person who will sign you up for open mic stand up comedy and watch you flounder on stage for his own amusement. In other words, my kind of guy! Andre and I met at work and quickly became friends over alcohol, general geekery, and immaturity. He’s evolved over time from a fun co-worker to a great friend. If it’s hanging out at work, drinking, or killing imaginary bad guys during our D&D sessions, I can always count on him for a laugh and good times. I can’t think of anyone better to prance down the aisle throwing flower petals around (hopefully to some reggaeton).
