Arrival option 1: Rent a car
Barichara is a 2 1/2-hr drive from Bucaramanga. The drive is GORGEOUS. You will be driving by El Cañon del Chicamocha, the second deepest Canyon in the world. The road is safe.
However, it is not a good option for those with vertigo or those faint of the hear. If you drive, do stop at Panachi National Park.
We will create a Whatsapp group for shared drives. Do not drive at night.
There are no safety issues and the road is in great conditions, but you will be driving through a magnificent canyon—and it will be an unusual drive for those used to flat roads.
