We met in Minneapolis during the summer of 2019. Dakota is a Minnesota native, and JT was living there for work at the time. Our first few weeks were a whirlwind of new restaurants, yoga dates, and walks around the lakes. Just one month in, we took a leap of faith on our first trip to Colorado! We bonded instantly over our love for adventure, realizing early on that we were the perfect travel team. That very first trip is what led us back to the mountains to say 'I do' by the creek all these years later.

In March 2025, we set off on our first 'big' international adventure through Copenhagen, Switzerland, and France. JT had a special surprise waiting in Annecy—the 'Venice of the Alps.' Knowing it was a hidden gem that inspired Walt Disney himself, JT led us on a sunset walk around Lake Annecy. With the French Alps towering in the background, he dropped to one knee and asked the big question. It was the most beautiful moment of our lives!
