Maid of Honor
Lauren is my best friend. We met in junior high, but we didn't become good friends until high school. Lauren was the person who invited me to youth group to for the first time and brought me to Jesus. Since then, we've been conjoined at the hip. We've been through many so many seasons of life together. We even lived across the hall from each other at Bible College! Lauren is and always will be a big part of my life, and a big part of Joe and I's big day!! Lauren loves highland cows, photography, and crocs. And she has the most contagious laugh ever!!
Best Man
Wyatt and I met at church in our Jr. High Sunday school class, but we didn't really get to know one another until we started going to High School youth group. Since then, Wyatt has always had my back and has been a great friend to me. We've had lots of good times together, and our fair share of hard times, but we've been able to laugh through most of it. My best memory of Wyatt will always be the time we went to CIY with our youth group, and his girlfriend Emma (who is also a good friend of mine) was getting picked up by her family instead of riding back home with us. Before they said goodbye, he stopped and took time to pray with her, and I remember thinking, "that's the kind of man that I want to be." I very much look up to my friend Wyatt.
Bridesmaid
Margot is my sweet cousin! - And the only girl cousin my age. When we were younger and my grandma owned a bar & grille in Lincoln, she was always my go-to karaoke partner. We specialized in hits from Hannah Montana ;). Somehow, we survived the chaotic swarm of boys growing up. As we've gotten older and lives have gotten crazier, Margot and I still connect so much when we finally get a chance to catch up. She holds a special place in my heart and I'm so excited to get to share this day with her!! Margot is currently taking a gap year, but is studying Political Science at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Groomsman
I met Hosea Jones in 2015 when I moved to Montana, and we've been friends ever since. We did all kinds of fun stuff together, from playing video games till 4 A.M. to building forts in the woods to hide from the invisible Nazies that had taken over America :) Ahh, good times. Some things that you might not know about my good buddy Hosea is that he loves Pepsi, video games, and hiking with his favorite person in the world (that's me btw ;)
Bridesmaid
Laura is Joe's oldest sister. Joe always told me he had 3 moms growing up: his actual mom, and both of his sisters. I know they all loved him like a son, and protected him as so. Laura actually Facebook-stalked me before Joe had even told his family about me, and before I'd met any of them. Over the short period of time I've known her, I've enjoyed getting to grow a relationship with her and her family. Laura is the momma of her two littles, Ethan and Ella, and the beautiful bride of her husband Jared. She loves Golden Girls, her book club, and doing crafts with her kiddos.
Groomsman
I first met Christian when we were both moving into the Summit dorms. The second time I met him, I was waking him up because he slept in during orientation! Since then, he and I have been good friends. We would always stay up way too late studying (or playing smash bros, instead of studying), playing music together, or cleaning the kitchen. During my summer in Scottsbluff, Christian was my roommate. He has always been the encouraging type, like when he told me I shouldn't ask out Gracie, because she was way out of my league (which is true). But seriously, Christian has been a great friend and encouragement to me for as long as I've known him.
Bridesmaid
Hannah is Joe's next oldest sister, and according to him, his 3rd mom. I've heard all the stories about these three growing up, and they crack me up, including the one about handcuffing Joe to a tree.... I had the pleasure of spending time with Hannah on a girl's day with his mom and Laura, when Joe and I went to Montana this last summer. It's been wonderful getting to know the lovely ladies who raised the Godly gentleman Joe is, Hannah included. Hannah is married to her High School sweetheart, Cody. Together they have a little girl named Zoey, and she is their whole world!
Groomsman
Tucker is Gracie's younger brother, and my soon-to-be brother-in-law. Tucker enjoys shooting sports, Xbox, and working on cars. From what I've heard, he's got quite the skills on his electric guitar and knowing every word to songs from the 80s & 90s. He loves the outdoors, especially when the outdoors includes playing fetch with his four-legged companion, Duke. Despite Tucker being younger than Gracie, I noticed from the beginning a very protective spirit that Tucker had about his sister. He comes off quiet and tough, but I know he loves Gracie very much. It means a lot to Gracie and I that he gets to stand by us on our special day.
Ring Bearer
Khalo is my mini best friend, and has been ever since he was born. Every visit to Lincoln, there was a biiig hug and smile waiting for me at the door. Khalo and I have so many good memories together, but nothing will be more special to me than being our ringbearer!
Ring Bearer
Ethan is my nephew, and he is 6 years old. Laura and Jared had Ethan shortly after I moved to Montana, so I only got to see him when I would go Indiana on vacations (which was quite often for me). I am thankful that I got to spend many summers hanging out with Ethan, and watching him grow.
Flower Girl
Miss Ella is Joe's niece. She reminds me a lot of myself when I was younger: princess mode always, loves having her hair braided, but also loves getting dirty with her brother. Ella is a sweet and friendly soul who loves with all her heart. She'll no doubt make the most adorable flower girl ever!!
Officiant
John is the Lead Pastor at Westway Christian Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He has been mentoring me and teaching me how to be a leader in the church for the past year and a half that I have been attending Summit. John is happily married to Anne. Together, they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. John enjoys running, preaching, and watching Ohio State football. (Go Buckeyes!)
