Our Storybook Story

A story of, chases, escapes, true love, miracles, and...... rubber ducks? Less than two months after we began dating, in true storybook fashion, or perhaps just due to our competitive natures, Rebekah began a prank war with Joshua, taking reference from the comedian James Veitch and "The Bit with the Ducks" (get yourself to YouTube, you'll thank us). The journey of stealthy placement of small plastic ducks spawned the phrase "what's our duck budget?" (which was quickly added to the list of "words I never thought I'd say") as Rebekah sought out the acquisition of ducks in bulk quantities. Unknown to Joshua until after he proposed, Rebekah has documented every one of her duck placements on Instagram in true millennial fashion - you can share in the joy of small plastic ducks by searching @duckclues. Unknown to Rebekah until the proposal: from the very first duck surprise, Joshua saved every single duck he received, stashed away, planning to use them as part of the proposal. At the right time, a trail of ducks was created, leading to a special spot in a park where we had one of our first dates, with an all-around tailored-to-us fairytale setting. Don't worry, the duck saga has only just begun!
