We matched online in February 2020. After a week of conversations, our first date was March 7th, 2020. Does March 2020 ring a bell? The world shut down less than 2 weeks later, but we knew we wanted to keep pursuing each other. Over the next several months we stayed in our little bubble. We bonded over Marvel movies and board games. Josh met Olivia's family in Santa Barbara. In 2021, we took a trip through Arizona to see the Grand Canyon and visited North Carolina for Olivia to meet Josh's family. In 2022, we moved in together. In 2023, Josh became Dr. Joshua Speer, and we knew our time in Santa Barbara was wrapping up. In 2024, we moved from California to Maryland for Josh's new job (with a brief stop in Washington). Over the 5 day drive, we talked about the future and how we chose each other. Josh proposed in April 2025, and we're ready to face the future together.
