All RSVPs are due by Sunday, August 10th, 2025.
To keep our celebration intimate and meaningful, we kindly request that only those listed on the RSVP attend. We look forward to sharing this day with our closest family and friends and appreciate your understanding.
Cellular service is generally reliable along the route, with AT&T and T-Mobile being the strongest service providers. However, there are spotty areas especially as you approach Oak Mountain State Park, so we recommend downloading an offline map of the area before traveling to ensure a smooth trip. Once you have arrived at the campground, there will be access to reliable WiFi but spotty cellular service.
In Alabama, the beginning of November typically has an average high of 73°F (23°C) and low of 50°F (10°C), along with variable humidity. Weather permitted, the reception will be held outdoors so we recommend dressing in breathable layers to stay cool throughout the day and cozy as the evening cools down. For footwear, please choose comfortable shoes that are suitable for uneven terrain. Additionally, we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing shades of white and gold to respect the bride’s colors.
If there is inclement weather on the day of the wedding, we will relocate our reception to the indoor meeting space located at the front of the campground.
There is ample parking behind Saint Barnabas Catholic Church which can be accessed when heading east on 80th Street North, near 1st Alley North. Following the ceremony, it’s a comfortable 40 minute drive to the Oak Mountain Cabins where the reception will be held. Upon arrival, you'll find ample parking by the indoor meeting space directly to the left as you enter the parkway toward the cabins. The parking lot is a short 3-5 minute walk to the outdoor pavilion. For those staying overnight, there are two parking spots available in front of each cabin.
Our wedding ceremony will include a full Catholic Mass with the Spanish traditions of las arras and el lazo, lasting approximately 60 to 90 minutes. We ask all guests to silence their cell phones and refrain from using them during the service. If you are Catholic, we warmly invite you to participate fully in the Mass, including receiving Holy Communion. For those who are not Catholic, you are welcome to remain seated during the Communion rite, or if you wish, you may come forward with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing. You are also not required to participate in the kneeling practices during the Mass. We wish for everyone to feel comfortable and included as we celebrate the sacred union of our marriage.
Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP. We are happy to accommodate various dietary needs.
We will have a self-service selection of whiskey, rum, soju, and red wine available for our guests, along with soda, warm beverages, and water. The beverages will be available throughout the night until supplies last. If you have a specific preference or would like to bring your own beverage, you are welcome to do so. We kindly ask that you drink responsibly and enjoy the celebration.
Each Oak Mountain Cabin features two bedrooms—one with a King bed and the other with two Queen beds—accommodating up to six guests. The cabins include a bath, fully equipped kitchen, central heating and air conditioning, front porch, backyard grill, living room with a flat-screen TV and wireless internet. Guests can enjoy hotel-like amenities such as linen and towel service, complimentary bath toiletries, and a hair dryer. We recommend bringing your personal toiletries beyond the essentials provided as well as any food and snacks for meals not included in the wedding festivities. The fully equipped kitchen and grill make it easy to prepare meals during your stay. Photos of the cabins are available at the link provided under our "Travel" page. If you are interested in staying in one of these cabins, they are available for a minimum of two nights on Nov. 7th-9th, 2025 at a discounted rate of $415 USD per cabin.
