FAQs

Question

What should I wear? What is your wedding theme?

Answer

This is a formal occasion, so please dress your best! Our theme is southwestern which includes neutral colors and earthy tones like browns, greens, tans, rust and terracotta. We encourage cowboy hats, boots, buckles, turquoise jewelry, and bolo ties.

Question

Who is in the wedding party?

Answer

We decided not to have a formal wedding party but we are inviting our closest friends to get ready with us and hang out before the ceremony starts.

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We respectfully ask that you leave your kiddos at home during our celebration on Saturday. They are more than welcome to join us at the welcome dinner on Friday and brunch on Sunday.

Question

We aren't sure if we can come without bringing our kids, what do we do?

Answer

Josh and Meg completely understand that it is difficult to find childcare and we want families to enjoy a trip to Albuquerque during Balloon Fiesta weekend. We have a few ideas on how to help with this. There are many babysitting companies in Albuquerque and parents have the option of hiring a professional during the wedding celebration between 3:00pm-10:00pm. We also have a few sitter recommendations from other friends in the area. We would also like to offer our house as the babysitting spot. We have a large backyard, a Roku and our full kitchen would make it easier for a sitter to cook and provide a meal than in a hotel room. Contact Meg or Josh to discuss further details, we'd love to help.

Question

What if I have a food allergy or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let Meg and Josh know of any allergies or restrictions and we will be happy to accommodate.

Question

Where do I park for the wedding?

Answer

There is lots of street parking in front of our wedding venue, as well as a paid parking lot at the entrance of Old Town, across the street from the wedding venue.

Question

Can we take photos and post them on social media?

Answer

Please keep in mind we would love to have an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we invite you to be fully present with us during our ceremony and ask to refrain from taking pictures or taking video. We've hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture this special moment of us and we promise we will share the photos after the wedding. Feel free to take photos after the ceremony.

Question

What time should we arrive for the wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony will start at 4:15 p.m. We suggest arriving by at least 3:45 p.m. so you can comfortably park, find your seat and settle in.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We will only be able to accommodate the amount of people listed on your invitation due to our wedding venue being so small.

Question

Do I have a place to stay?

Answer

Because of Balloon Fiesta, we were unable to secure a hotel room block for our out of town guests. We recommend finding a hotel on your own or renting an AirBNB. See our travel page for a list of hotel recommendations. Please reach out for more information.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

On your wedding invite there is a QR code you can scan using your cellphone camera. Open your camera like you're taking a photo and hover over the QR code to see a link pop up. This will take your straight to our website. Add your name and it will give you the option to RSVP to several events. Please reach out if you have an trouble!
