Erin is the sister of the bride, currently living in Ames, Iowa finishing up her English teaching degree at Iowa State University. Growing up together in the Des Moines, Iowa area saw the girls playing games like Little House on the Prairie in the back shed or binge-watching any movie or show in the house (yea, we were binge-watching before it was cool). When they got a little older, Erin would get annoyed of Haley spending time on a boy with glasses long before Joe came around when Haley decided reading Harry Potter was more fun than playing Barbies. But now that Haley has read all books and spends time with Erin again, and she seems to approve of this new boy in glasses in Haley's life

Luch Hak

Best Man

Luch (pronounced Luke) is Joe’s high school buddy from Jacksonville, FL. He has known the groom for 17 years and he kindly asks you not to do the math on that. He is a former U.S. Marine and since leaving the service several years ago, he remains engaged in various endeavors to find purpose in his new life in what Haley and Joe would describe as being “a leaf in the wind”, in a good way of course! This leaf is currently resides in Chicago as the roommate of the bride and groom, as such and for the reasons above, he has eagerly assumed the duty of best man.

Stephanie O'Sullivan

Springtime in Paris, 2012 - Stephanie heads off to study abroad and meets Haley who was also studying abroad in the same program that semester. They actually didn't hang out as much in Paris since they lived far apart but kept up the friendship for a few years. Shortly after Haley moved to Chicago in the fall of 2014, Stephanie moved from the 'burbs to Chicago as well. Keeping in touch turned to hanging out which turned into working out together and before they knew it, they were bestest buddies! Even though she has now moved away to Michigan, they still have their weekly "Wine & Workout" nights together - via video chat (ah technology!).

Chris Cunanan

Best Brother - Groomsman

Chris is the brother of the groom. As military dependents, both grew up having no hometown but home with family. Their best memories were growing up in Okinawa, Japan where Chris has lived longer. Both brothers also had second lives in world of Star Wars Galaxies, an MMO back in the 2000s, both starting out as nerfherders but Chris surpassed his brother to the rank of Jedi. Props! Both Chris and Joe's alma mater is the University of North Florida. Chris graduated with a degree in Computer Science!

Aprilyn Cunanan

Aprilyn is the groom's sister, which is how she met the bride. She has a passion for drawing that she once followed all the way to Italy for her senior thesis project on Dante - with family and friends in tow of course, including Haley and Joe. She now works in the animation industry in California and even did the designs on the bride and groom's Save the Date and Wedding Invitations (thanks again Aprilyn)!

Leejay Abucayan

Groomsman

Leejay is the cousin of the groom. Both were totally legit penpals during 90s, swapping vitally important information such as Mortal Kombat cheat kodes and Street Fighter special moves via snail mail. Both Leejay and Joe were born in Florida but Leejay was raised in California, they rarely saw each other throughout the years because of distance but when they did, they absolutely bonded over Super Nintendo and Power Rangers. Leejay still resides in California working for Airbnb. He has made a home in the Bay Area with his wife and two children.

Kelsey Hagan

Kelsey is the bride's oldest friend. They met in daycare where Haley put sand on Kelsey's head, and they've been friends ever since. After daycare, they were briefly in a girl scout troop together until they both quit. In middle school, Kelsey introduced Haley to her friend group and was dubbed "Legolas" (Kelsey was Pippin). They were just a group of LOTR nerds having fun throughout middle school, high school, and let's be honest, to this day. Kelsey is now living in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she is probably knitting the sweater she will wear for her next overseas trip.

Patrick Jones

Groomsman

Patrick is a good friend of the groom from Jacksonville, FL. Over the past few years, Patrick has gotten to know the bride and groom as a couple during his many visits to Chicago. Patrick, as long as Joe has known him, has had a passion and love for aviation. He is currently a Flight Captain for a major regional commercial airliner. In fact, his first official flight in his career was out of O’Hare International shortly after Haley and Joe took him out for dinner at Giordano’s! Pizza and Planes! What a win!

Chelsea Tegels

Chelsea is an old friend of the bride's from middle school, part of the group introduced by Kelsey. One of the LOTR group, Chelsea was the Gimli to Haley's Legolas. Chelsea lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her new husband Andreas. Though Haley & Chelsea went to different colleges and moved to different cities aftewards, they always met up whenever they could on trips back home in Des Moines, whenever Chelsea was in Chicago, or when Haley went through the DC area. Haley had the honor of being her bridesmaid in her wedding in June, and now she's asking Chelsea to return the favor!

Will Sachs

Groomsman

Will is a friend and former graduate school classmate of the groom. Will and Joe first met in Dublin, Ireland in 2013 while studying abroad at All Hallows College as part of their Master’s curriculum. Both new Chicago residents at the time, they began their friendship while getting to know their new hometown. Coincidentally, Will hails from northeast Florida as well, having grown up in St. Augustine, FL. Will now permanently resides in Chicago, IL with his wife, Stefanie and newborn daughter, Cora.
