The closest airport to the city is the Oaxaca International Airport (OAX) and is about a 30 minute drive to the wedding venue. Transportation can be coordinated ahead of time with the hotel or a private service, however, taxis are readily available at the airport upon arrival. We opted for one of the available services at the airport and the cost was about $35 (USD). While you cannot order an Uber from the airport to the hotel, Ubers are available to be ordered when you reach the city, and can be used for transportation to the airport when you depart. Otherwise, the city has plenty of taxis driving around, just flag one down! From STL: Unfortunately, there are no non-stop flights to OAX, flight options consist of 1 stop in Dallas (DFW) or Houston (IAH) and would be about 6 to 8.5 hours of travel. From LAX: Depending on the day of the week, there are non-stop flights to OAX, and is about a 4 hour flight. Otherwise, there are options with 1 stop in Mexico City (MEX) or Houston (IAH), and would be about 7-8.5 hours of travel time. From SAN: Unfortunately, there are no non-stop flights to OAX and other options aren't that great, the shortest travel option is a flight with 1 stop in Houston (IAH) and is about 7.5 hours of travel. San Diego Alternative: We HIGHLY recommend flying out of the Tijuana airport TIJ, non-stop options are available for a total flight time of 4 hours and is very easy, simple, and safe by taking the CBX Bridge! All day-of wedding events will be hosted at the Quinta Real Hotel. We have a total of 55 rooms reserved and the hotel has more available, our room block rate is $5,450 MXN (aka pesos) per night with a minimum stay of Friday and Saturday night. Staying extra days? The hotel will honor this rate for the additional 2 nights before and after. If you plan on attending and staying at this hotel with us, we encourage you to book your room as soon as possible. The city itself is very walkable and majority of hotels are within 10 walking minutes from our venue, taxis are available as well. Local rentals are also available on sites like Airbnb and VRBO.
