To answer your question, no. Neither of us are French, but it turns out both of us love French food, French wine, and the French way of life. This was solidified during our 2022 trip to France, where we had the best food, top notch $7 bottles of wine, and fell deeper in love watching the sunset on the Seine River. That is why we choose France as place to start our life-long adventure and to share the place we fell in love with, with those we love. We hope you will see and love France as we do.
We are aware that the cost of travel and taking time away from family/work may pose challenges, so if this trip does not fit into your current situation, we sincerely understand and hope to see you all soon. We will gladly accept your warm wishes from afar! Again, there is no pressure. Like at all. We love you, we know you love us, that’s all that matters.
If you already know you are not able to attend, for any reason (again, no pressure), we ask that you tell us as soon as possible. This will help us with planning and having the extra planning time would be greatly appreciated.
There is no need to book a hotel. Because we will not know who can stay at the Château until June, we have reserved enough hotel rooms for all guests on your behalf. So, there is no need to make a separate hotel booking. Then, in June, we will assign rooms (either at the Château or hotel) and transfer the hotel reservations if need be. The cost to stay at the Hotel will be $65-90 per night per person, depending on the room requested. The cost to stay at the chateau will be $50-$125 per person, per night, depending on the space offered. If you prefer to stay at the hotel regardless of the availability at the Château, please let Dominique and Jordon know as soon as possible.
While we love your kids, our celebration and the estate of the Château will be adult only.
Your presence is the present. Seriously—we mean it. The experience of being together with those we love is enough of a gift and anything additional is truly not necessary. So, please no gifts. If you insist on getting us something, we included a small registry on our site.
Our wedding website will be updated as we get closer to our date. Please check back for details. We will also have the ability to email updates to guests.
For the welcome dinner, we ask that guests wear Garden Semi-Formal. Think short to midi dresses, linens, pants and collared shirts. Jackets optional. For our ceremony and celebration, we ask that guests wear Black Tie Optional attire. Think full to floor length formal dresses or gowns (patterns welcome), dark suits, or tuxedos.
Because the Château has so many great outdoor spaces, we hope to host many events outdoors, with some events on grass, if the weather permits. However, in the event of inclement weather, the Château offers indoor options as well.
While weather is unpredictable, we hope for highs of 70-80 degrees, and evenings of 55 degrees (the typical weather for early September in Villecien, France). We recommend looking at the weather forecast before you pack to prepare for the trip.
Yes, we will provide our guests a bus transfer to and from Paris. Please see the Travel page for more information.
Yes! There is plenty of parking at the Château if you choose to rent a car.
While meals will be provided (see more detail in the “Schedule” section), you are welcome to bring your own food and snacks to store in the Château and Farmhouse kitchens. However, please note, food is not allowed in the rooms themselves.
