Our favorite restaurant and the location of our first date! The pork belly and karaage are must gets. Grab a pre-dinner drink at Gibson Street Bar up the road for the full first date experience. It is first come, first serve but the wait goes by quick!
The Yard
A collection of breweries, distilleries, tasting rooms, and food trucks in an old warehouse district. If you go, check out Ciera's favorite whiskey distillery: Still Austin, or Jordan's favorite brewery: St. Elmo (along with the Spicy Boys Fried Chicken food truck located on site).
Patrizi's
Great, unique pasta food truck in a cool setting. Ciera recommends the Lemon Thyme Fettucine. The line can be quite long to order, so grab a drink from the Butterfly Bar as you wait.
Lulu’s
If you find yourself down in the South Austin Entertainment District, stop by one of our favorite places to grab a cocktail, Lulu's, a Mexico City inspired bar. Located on site is also our favorite taco truck, La Taquicardia. Try the cochinita pibil! Also located nearby in the South Austin Entertainment District are fun bars and beer gardens like Armadillo Den, Moontower Saloon, and more!
Pennybacker Bridge Overlook
A quick, easy hike up to a beautiful view of Pennyback Bridge and Lake Austin.
Auditorium Shores at Town Lake
Great green space located in downtown Austin with views of the skyline, access to the Lady Bird Lake running trail, a dog park, and plenty of room to lay out and relax. Also check out Zilker Park, home to Austin City Limits music festival.
