To best understand our story, we'll have to go back to about a year before we actually met. In the summer of 2019, Jordan adopted a dog named Kona. While picking up Kona from the foster, a gentleman named Sam is there, also adopting a dog: Kona's sister, Freddie. Sam suggested that they exchange contact info so that the dogs can have puppy play dates. Over the course of the next year, those hangouts occur, and Jordan and Sam become good friends. Fast forward to May 2020. Ciera is living in California, but is in Austin visiting her sister, Evans. Evans and her partner, the aforementioned Sam, are expecting twins, and Ciera is in town for the birth of her nieces. With their growing family, Sam and Evans decided to move into a house. Sam asks Jordan to help him move "just a few things" from his apartment to the new house. After about 5 hours of loading up stuff into a moving truck, they make their way to the new house. As they arrive and walk in, there at the kitchen island or in the living room, depending on who you ask, was Ciera and they introduce themselves to each other. Jordan stayed for dinner, and for the entire meal they were both lovestruck, captivated, and nervous about the new person sitting across from them. After a little matchmaking from both Sam and Evans, Jordan asked Ciera out for drinks and dinner. Over the next week, they went out again 3 more times. Unfortunately though, after that magical week, it was time for Ciera to return to California, but they decided to keep talking to see where it might lead. Their relationship continued to blossom and in August 2020 Jordan flew out to California to visit Ciera, which was the beginning of their monthly alternating trips to see each other. They continued to do long distance until June 2021, when Ciera decided to move back to Texas! Jordan flew out to California to help Ciera pack up and they roadtripped down to Texas, finally beginning their same city relationship. Later that year in November 2021, Ciera, Jordan, and Kona moved into their first home together. On March 26, 2023, in Big Sur, California, Jordan proposed to Ciera (after a bit of a hike in heels), and she said yes!
