Boone is a very cute mountain town approximately 30 minutes from the wedding venue. There are several mountain-lookouts (such as Grandfather mountain), quaint shops, as well as breweries and restaurants.

Asheville, NC

Asheville is a fun, mountain city approximately 2 hours from the wedding venue. Boasting more breweries per capita than any other US cities, more than 100 local beers can be tasted here. Check out the downtown brewery scene, the infamous Biltmore House attraction, or explore the beautiful natures that surrounds.

The Blue-Ridge Parkway is a scenic road that spans from Asheville, through our wedding venue near Boone, to South-Western Virginia. Take a nature-filled drive and and stop by the various look-out points for picturesque scenery.

Charlotte is the nearest big-city (and the biggest city in North Carolina) - approximately 2 hours from our wedding venue. As several guests will be flying into Charlotte, take advantage of all it has to offer: from the Epicenter downtown, to delicious breweries in South end, to the NC-famous Halal food trucks, to the US National Whitewater Center.

Sky Retreat (the venue of our wedding) has several activities to offer on-site: Paragliding, tubing, kayaking trips, hiking, mountain biking, baby-goat/donkey photoshoots, group yoga, massages, athletic training, ballroom dancing and more.

Check out the Pisgah National forest - spanning from Boone to Asheville (30min-2hr from the wedding venue. Comprised of over 500,000 acres, the Pisgah is primarily a hardwood forest with mile-high peaks, cascading waterfalls, and heavily forested slopes.
