The couple met first day of Middle School at the lockers! The Bride was too anxious about getting to the next class and the Groom was helping his friend open his locker, so they did not get to talk a lot. They ended up having a science class together later that day!
The couple attended the same Middle and High School and often had classes together. They each carved their own path, but would periodically grab dinner together. The two families live in the same neighborhood and would often see each other around town. The Bride left for the University of Oklahoma and the Groom left for McKendree University.
The Groom reached out to the Bride once he transferred to Texas A&M because they were geographically closer. The two became fast friends and would often make plans to see each other when they were both in town from college.
The Groom was asked to be a Groomsmen in his roommate's wedding a month after the Bride graduated from college. The Bride was a bit apprehensive since she would be traveling with his family to Houston and meeting all of his friends at the same time, but decided she could not let her friend fly solo at a wedding. That night while dancing, the couple knew they owed it to themselves to try a relationship.
After a year and a half of dating, the Groom planned a beautiful date in the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. He originally planned to propose in the Chinese Gardens, but could not wait any longer and proposed in the Rose Gardens. The answer was of course "YES!"
