Flight
Lynchburg Regional Airport (LYH) is going to be the closest airport to fly into; however, it is going to be more expensive as it is a smaller airport! If you want to save some extra dollars and do a rental car, consider flying into Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU) or an airport in Northern Virginia.

Hotel
Fun Fact- this hotel was once a shoe factory now turned into one of the nicest hotels in the Lynchburg area, connected to the delicious Shoemakers Grill with a variety of seafood and steaks to offer. This is a weekend to enjoy yourself, so splurge a little if ya feel like it and come see what it has to offer! Not to mention, it's hard to miss with the giant red shoe sitting in the front! With it being so local and central to all of downtown, this would be a hard one to pass up!

For those of you coming from far away and you'd like to make a more scenic trip, consider taking the train! It can be cheaper and can allow you to experience more states than one at a time. With an Amtrak Station right near downtown, it is a great option to consider!
