Travel

The Wedding Website of Katherine Hall and Jonathan Nicolas
There are many ways to reach Bretagne. Our preferred way is to fly from Charlotte (CLT) or Raleigh (RDU) to Paris (CDG) with a connecting flight to either Brest (BES) or Nantes (NTE). We recommend renting a car, as public transportation is limited in the village and around the region, and a car makes exploring the beautiful local coastline and nearby towns much easier. While we would love to be able to pick you up from the airport/train station, it is not feasible for us to manage pick-ups and all of the to-dos of the weekend. We are happy to connect attendees in the event carpooling is possible.

Flight

Brest (BES) or Nantes (NTE)

Fly to Brest (BES) or Nantes (NTE). Car rental is available at these airports. From Brest, drive about 1 hour 45 minutes to Clohars-Carnoët; from Nantes, plan for 2.5 hours.

Train

TGV Operated by SNCF

If you’d like to make the trip a little more scenic, fly into Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). From CDG, take the RER B train to Châtelet–Les Halles, then walk a couple of minutes to connect with Metro Line 4 toward Montparnasse. The trip from the airport to Gare Montparnasse takes about 1.5 hours in total. From Gare Montparnasse, hop on a direct TGV train to Lorient—the ride takes about 3.5 hours and offers beautiful views of the French countryside. Once you arrive in Lorient, you’ll find car rental options like Avis and Europcar right next to the train station. From there, it’s just a 20–30 minute drive to Clohars-Carnoët. TIP: Download the OMIO app to book your train ticket.
