Jonathan “Jon Jon” Rutledge
Best Man
Jon Jon is the perfect person to be in our vow renewal as Best Man. He is the most loving and caring big brother and son a family could ask for! He currently is head of maintenance (and Jack of all trades)at his former elementary in a Illinois and loves every minute of using his hands to fix things. Jon Jon loves all the nerdy things and that makes him one of his stepmoms favorites. (did she type this?) Don’t tell the other kids! Fun Fact: Jon Jon plays Magic the Gathering and loves anime!
Leelu Rutledge
Maid of Honor
Leelu is our 14 year old daughter and is delighted to be our MOH! Leelu is currently in 9th grade at Harper Creek High School where she is a cheerleader as well as a Softball player! She loves to draw and edit videos and one day hopes to use her artistry to make her successful in an industry where she will make her creative talents shine! Fun Fact: She received a scholarship to attend Interlochen Arts Camp for 6 weeks!
Alex Rutledge

Alex is our 16 year old son. He is a super athlete but also super smart. He is the perfect kid in every way-funny, witty, and just a plain good person. As his stepmom, I can sit and talk with him for hours and never get bored! Topics include Neuroscience and anime! We are so excited to share this day with him and show others just how cool he really is! Fun Fact: The most weight Alex has ever lost in one day is 5 pounds! (For wrestling)
Angela Sedoskey

Ángela is our niece. She loves working with kids and animals and is currently engaged to be married next year to a good guy! (Nate) We enjoy when she comes to visit with us and we are so excited to have her as a part of our big day! Fun Fact: Angela has been a part of Powwow’s her whole life and danced in the Jingle Dress Dance which is a sacred dance for healing, resilience, and community.
Fergus & Spencer Rutledge

Fergus and Spencer are our 9 year old twins. They are funny, athletic, and very excited to be all dressed up and playing an important role in our renewal ceremony. They are unsure what to expect but as long as there is food and desserts we are sure they will be happy! Ya know…priorities! We are so happy to be making this memory with them! Fun Fact: Fergus would like to be a Police Officer when he is older and he loves and plays Goalie/R Winger in hockey where he excels! Spencer wants to be a Dentist when he gets older and he is super good at baseball where he plays the position of Pitcher!
Kimberly Cook

Kim has a very important role in the Rutledge family. She and her husband took care of Jen’s Dad, until he passed away in 2023. Kim now is called “Grandma Lady” by our children, but we are also happy to call her one of our Best Friends. We could NOT do this thing called life without her! Fun Fact: If you love sarcasm…Kim is your lady! She will give you all you need-Guilt Free!
Triston“TJ” Jensen

TJ is a really close friend to Jonathan. They met while playing on the Roof Sharks/Enemy Softball Team. TJ’s passion is hockey tho, and he currently owns the Battle Creek Kernels and is responsible for many activities at The Rink, here in Battle Creek. Our twins look to TJ as an Uncle and as a mentor, in hockey. Shhhh…Don’t tell him we told you this, but, he was once mistaken to be the twins’ Dad! Lol! Fun Fact: TJ has taken dance lessons his whole life and is an EXCELLENT dancer! Let’s see if he will strut his stuff at the reception!
Kelsi Slann

Miss Kelsi has been a part of the Rutledge family for over 14 years! She has seen Chloe, Leelu, and the twins grow up! She has taken care of them all of their lives. Kids call her Miss Kelsi and although we tried to have them call her Aunt Kelsi- Miss Kelsi has always been her name! She is truly at the center of our family and knows us like no other-having been there for us through the toughest of times! We love her and she honors us by being a part of this great day! Fun Fact: Kelsi is an Aunt to twin nephews!
Mike Gresenz

Mike has become a good friend to Jonathan and they have bonded through softball and baseball. In fact, Mike and Jonathan both coached on the same team for Battle Creek Parks and Recreations Little League. Mike and Jonathan also have construction and contracting in common, also owning their own businesses. Mike owns Gresenz Home Improvement LLC. Fun Fact: Mike can build ANYTHING!
Jaymie West

Jaymie has been a great friend to our family. We met her and fell in love with her wonderful, down to earth personality, her work ethic, and her ability to be real in a world where everyone tries to be something they’re not. She is one of the hardest workers we know and a super great SINGLE mom to her 2 kids. We are glad she is able to share this day with us! Fun Fact: Jaymie loves octopuses and wrote an essay on them when she returned to college! (She got an A!)
Nicole Woodward

Nicole (Nikki) has been the brides friend since she was 15 years old. She and Jen have shared many memories together over the years. Their friendship has truly stood the test of time. Jen, wouldn’t be here today, if it weren’t for Nikki as she saved Jen’s life when she was a teenager. Fun Fact: Nikki loves Monster Trucks and attends Monster Jam every year!
Kori Hammer

Kori is a sweet and loving girl that stole Jennifer’s heart! Believe us when we say: “This girl is going places!” Kori attends Sunday school where Jennifer volunteers at Saint Mark. Fun Fact: All of Kori’s siblings have beautiful red hair!
