If you arrive on Friday before the wedding we will be having a welcome event in the main lobby of the hotel beginning at 7pm. Come say hi to the bride and groom the night before. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase!
Silver Beach
We got engaged at the beach so obviously we have to mention one! We have loved taking our dogs, Rex and Toby, along for the adventure since the beginning of our relationship. This is actually how we introduced the dogs to each other. Silver Beach in St. Joe has a beautiful lighthouse, a carousel (though hours of operation vary as it is volunteer ran), and sandy beaches. If you love the beach as much as us you must go!
Silver Harbor Brewing Company
Perfect for those who love craft beer and cocktails located in the heart of downtown St. Joseph.
Gravity Vineyards and Winery
One of Paige's all time favorite wineries! If you like fruit wines definitely try their Blueberry wine. A Sherrick family favorite is their Pull. Gravity Winery is open daily 12pm-6pm. Gravity offers a create your own wine tasting for $16 so you can be sure to try a variety of wines that fit your taste. Their bartenders are always so friendly and knowledgeable. If the weather is nice their outdoor seating area overlooks a treelined private pond. This is a kid friendly location, but be sure to plan a meal before or after your trip - only light snacks are available.

Southwest Michigan is known for the many amazing wineries scattered around our beautiful venue. We can't mention them all or we would be here all day. Some of Paige's personal favorites (other than Gravity) include: Tabor Hill Winery St. Julian Winery and Distillery Lemon Creek Winery Round Barn Winery Please check their hours before visiting!
Fernwood Botanical Garden
Autumn weather is our absolute FAVORITE and we love getting out and enjoying the crisp air and colorful leaves. There's just something about it that can't be beat. Enjoy a beautiful autumn walk at the Fernwood Botanical Gardens along the St. Joe River. Fernwood is so stunning this time of the year. There is so much to see and explore with miles of walking and hiking trails, a reconstructed prairie, an arboretum, and cultivated public gardens that include an herb garden, Japanese garden, perennial border, rain garden, railway garden, nature adventure garden, hardy fern collection, and other special collections and gardens. They are open 10am-5pm Tuesday-Sunday.
Four Winds Casino New Buffalo
If you're feeling lucky Four Winds Casino is the place to go! There are three locations that surround our venue, but New Buffalo is definitely our favorite. The Dowagiac location is just 15 minutes East for North Lake. If you're staying in South Bend there is one right there!
