In case you didn't already know Jon and I matched on Bumble at the end of April 2022 first bonding over our love of our dogs and all the things that we hoped to learn in life. We quickly started exchanging paragraphs and I was anxiously awaiting his next reply. After a couple of days of back and forth Jon suggested we go on a dinner date. Obviously I had to be a bit difficult and tell him I hated dinner dates and wanted to do something more fun. That's how we ended up bowling at Inman's on May 1st, 2022, but not before I *almost* canceled on him while I was already in route. I am seriously SOOO thankful I didn't! After a successful bowling date full of banter and light flirting we were back to talking about our dogs. He asked me if I wanted to go back to his place and meet Toby and I wasn't ready for the date to end. The second we walked into his house I just casually started going through all his stuff. I was opening cabinets and drawers not even thinking that this was probably INSANE behavior haha I was just so curious about this guy who seemed so genuine and fun and down to earth and he just went along with it not pausing to wonder what I was doing. Our first date didn't end until almost 2am! After that first date I went home and told my mom I had just met my future husband. She laughed and called me a liar because I was not the girl who fell for people quickly, but I just had this gut feeling. I did always think I was bit of a psychic. I'm happy to prove myself right on both accounts. Haha! The next day I introduced Rex (my dog weary of ALL strangers) to Jon and we introduced our dogs to each out. Rex immediately loved Jon. Like, not even a growl or a bark. I think Rex knew as quickly as I did how special Jon is. We took Toby and Rex to Porter Beach where we later spent many nights watching the sunset and playing in the sand and even where we got engaged - Toby and Rex included. It felt like a full circle moment. Jon and I have been inseparable since. We moved in just a month after meeting that first night and haven fallen more in love with each other than I could have ever dreamed. I am so excited to be marrying Jon and continuing to build a beautiful life together full of many baseball games (go brewers!) in all 30 stadiums, seeing our favorite bands live (over and over again and hopefully in seats), starting too many house projects, walking our boys, trying to get our kittens (Dante & Freya) to cuddle with us, spending time with our friends and family, hopefully growing our own family, and all the unexpected adventures yet to come. It's an honor to have you all celebrate and support the love we have for each other. We can't wait to see you there! -Paige
