We met the old-fashioned way- on a dating app, and had our first date July 4, 2019 at a boutique coffee shop called Starbucks. Is it too corny to say there was immediate fireworks? We laughed a lot together right away, and have definitely kept that going ever since! Our next few dates included golf, dinner, and an ELO concert, so come prepared to dance to Mr. Blue Sky with us at the reception. Julie already had plans to move to TX in a few months, and Jon was able to relocate a short time afterward. Both of us working from home in tight quarters accelerated house hunting and making other major life decisions out of order. We always planned to get married and it's exciting that our day is finally getting near!
Jon surprised Julie with a romantic proposal at home on his birthday. He kept saying he didn't want to make plans or go out, and it finally made sense why! Julie returned home from work that day to many thoughtful touches: flowers, wine, decorations and an amazing dinner prepared by a private chef. The weather and sunset were beautiful, and we have all our lovely photos and memories of that evening together in our new home. Jon's birthday present seemed super lame compared to all that!
