We met at a mutual classmate's farewell party where we clashed in a heated game of Monopoly Deal. We have two very different schools of thought when it comes to games; while Jon is a rule-abiding player, Gabby...views the rules as suggestions. Jon took it upon himself to keep Gabby's rule bending in check, leaving him with the first impression of her being a cheater, while Gabby was left thinking Jon was a square. Despite the bad first impressions of each other, we got to know each other better through our mutual friends and realized we actually have more in common than we initially thought.

Jon proposed to Gabby at a beautiful AirBnb in Georgia during Thanksgiving. He decorated the porch with colorful fall leaves and candles for a romantic picnic. The ring that Jon proposed with is a ring he had customized with Gabby but he secretly picked up the ring without her knowing and brought it on their trip to Georgia. It was the perfect surprise for our one year anniversary.
