We are high school sweethearts and met in our early years of marching band. We soon became good friends and sat next to each other on a daily basis. We would save each other seats at dinner and band practice. We talked the whole time on the way to the Cedar Point band trip until our throats were sore. A week after the Cedar Point trip, we won an away football game and Andrew asked me out on the bus ride home. I said that I was relieved that he asked and he said he was relieved that I said yes. 4 homecomings, 3 proms, and many dates later, and now we're going to be husband and wife!

On the day of our 7 year anniversary, we planned on going on a series of anniversary date activities: Lunch picnic at our favorite spot, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 1 and 2" movie showings, and a Cheesecake Factory dinner at Easton mall. During our time living a few years apart during undergrad in college, we had a favorite picnic spot that we would go to on dates when we were both home. It is a very serene, secluded place by a large tree, with a view of the reservoir. It is close to where we had our first kiss, as well as many nature walks. After eating lunch, we decided to go on a walk around the property. We reflected on how pretty everything was and talked a bit about our relationship throughout the years. Andrew said, "Well I asked you if I could kiss you when we had our first kiss. I may not always be spontaneous, but sometimes you just have to ask the question..." and he proceeded to kneel down on one knee and ask the question. I said yes of course, and here we are!
