Tour is enlightening and entertaining. Be sure to do at least the Gold Tour so you can taste each type of Scotch Whiskey... Silver tour only has you taste one.
Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands Day Tour
Head for the Highlands, whether in search of the Loch Ness Monster or just a scenic day trip from Edinburgh. After pickup, relax on your group’s bus and listen to the guide’s entertaining commentary. Visit Kilmahog for an introduction to the famous Highland Cows and a cup of coffee. Discover what a ‘hairy coo’ really is. Next, travel up the road to Glencoe and enjoy a 10-minute photo stop in front of the unforgettable Highland views. Have lunch in Fort William, where your guide can advise you on where to eat. If you're interested in the mysteries of the kilt, you can even get a ‘wee’ kilt introduction here. Then be whisked to Loch Ness itself. Customize your experience at Loch Ness with personal touches. Visit the majestic Urquhart Castle, and hop on a boat in search of ‘Nessie’, as the locals call it. Or simply hang out on the pier with gorgeous views. On the way home, make a snack stop in Pitlochry, a beautiful village in the heart of the country, before returning to Edinburgh.

We did a self-guided tour, which was great! You can spend half a day here if you have the time, but would have fun in just an hour or two as well. An integral part of seeing the Royal Mile!

The most famous golf course in the world. Birthplace of Golf. Enough said.

Entertaining, but not very scary. Fun way to spend an hour or two to see many of the spooky sights and be entertained by real professionals.
Arthur's Seat
Best view of Edinburgh and surrounding areas (even if it's foggy like it was for us!). A decent hike that beginners can do. You can always see the summit which makes it easier.

Came highly recommended... pretty disappointing service and steaks. But maybe we just caught it on a bad day!

Scary Ghost Tour - Underground City of the Dead Ghost Tour
SCARY GHOST TOUR OPTION - Via Ike Smith (amateur ghost hunter and overall crazy person) Dives deep into Edinburgh South Bridge Vaults, where Edinburgh's poor and criminals lived in squalor. Definitely ripe for ghost stories. There's apparently a ghost called the South Bridge Entity that supposedly haunts there. Costs about £16/person Tour times are 8pm (Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Sunday)
Scary Ghost Tour - City of the Dead Haunted Graveyard Tour
SCARY GHOST TOUR OPTION - Via Ike Smith (amateur ghost hunter and overall crazy person) Arguably the most haunted place in the world - the Greyfriar's Kirkyard houses one of the most famous ghosts in the world: the Mackenzie Poltergeist. It's got documented cases of attacks by the poltergeist and it comes with a warning that you join the tour at your own risk. This tour has sole access to the Convenaner's Prison and the Black Mausoleum, which is where the MacKenzie poltergeist is said to reside. No other ghost tours has this access so if you want a really scary option, this is the one to go to. Costs about £16/person Tour times are 8:30pm (Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday)

The tour will provide stories of all the ghost sightings, famous murders, and the overall tragic stories of these two locations and their place in Edinburgh history.
