Baxter Mountain
A quick up and back hike with views of the great range and the possibility of some blueberries.
Giant Mountain
On a clear day, Giant has views of the whole valley. If you're looking for a 46er, this is a great one to start with.
Adirondak Loj & Heart Lake
Access to lots of hikes, big and small! Mt Jo and the Heart Lake loop trail are kid-friendly or spend a longer day doing a few 46ers. You can grab a well-earned ice cream at the visitor center when you’re done.
The Garden Trailhead
Access to lots of larger hikes, including the Great Range via Johns Brook Lodge. Parking fills up early so plan ahead.
Chapel Pond
Our favorite local swim spot! It's an Adirondack rite of passage to swim across the pond and back.
Cascade Lakes
A beautiful pair of lakes with a great picnicing area and opportunities for swimming and paddling (BYOBoat).
