Kent Island is a large island in the Chesapeake Bay, part of Maryland's Eastern Shore, known for its seafood waterfront dining (CRABS), history (first European settlement in MD), outdoor activities (biking, boating), and as a gateway to the wider Eastern Shore region. Fun fact: The movie, Wedding Crashers was shot on Maryland's Eastern Shore. If you witness any crashers at the wedding, please notify the staff. John and Carlie don't have an Uncle Ned. -------BAY BRIDGE WARNING------ (for those not familiar with the area) If you decide to go into Annapolis, traffic can get really bad on Saturdays from beach traffic. The weekend rush hour across the bridge starts at noon. Allow yourself several hours to get back on the island. If there is an accident and/or if the bridge closes, the only alternate route is north around the Bay which is a three-hour trip.

Hiker/Biker Trail - Cross Island Trail

This trail is 6.5 miles long, spanning east to west from Terrapin Park to the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center at Kent Narrows and wanders through farmlands, meadows and woods accented with ornamental trees. Waterfront views.

Hiker/Biker Trail - South Island Trail

A 7-mile paved trail system that parallels Rt. 8 from Matapeake State Park to Romancoke Pier. Waterfront views.

Kentmorr Marina

If you know the groom, when water is nearby he must always fish or he'll spend the whole time talking about how he wishes he was fishing. Kentmorr Marina has a seafood reastaurant with unbeatable views. Experience a day spent sportfishing on a local charter. On the Maryland Crab and Oyster Trail.

Blue Heron Golf Course

Only public golf course near the venue if you want to sneak in a round. Par 63, so a great shot at breaking 80.
