Reno is not the closest airport but the odds of being able to split travel with someone is much greater.

Technically speaking, the closest airport to Mendocino is the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport. It’s located in Santa Rosa, 55 miles away from Ukiah and two hours away from Mendocino. It’s a small airport that only serves a handful of cities, including Denver, Dallas, Minneapolis, L.A., the O.C., Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Las Vegas. For that reason, you might not have a lot of flight options. But, if you’re coming from one of these destinations, then it’s definitely the way to go! Note: Car rentals are available at the airport.

One of the best options out there, especially for international travelers, is to go via the San Francisco Airport. The drive will take you around three and a half hours, but it can make for a great combined vacation! We recommend spending a couple of days in the city, enjoying its museums and vibrant atmosphere, then driving up along the coast to Mendocino and spending the rest of the week with us. Not only do you get the best of both worlds, but you also experience one of the best drives in the country via Highway 1!
Hotel
This campground is directly across Highway 1 from the turnoff to our venue. The best sites are ??? There’s beach access as well as some great hikes.

This campground is about 30 minutes north of the venue on Highway 1. It is a gorgeous campground. It’s got rocky beaches and stunning views of the ocean as well as plenty of walking trails. It gets an enthusiastic recommendation from John and I, as well as Jeff and Chani (see our wedding party page if you don’t know them).
