1:15 pm - 2:00 pm
To pay tribute to Tania's Chinese heritage, we will be hosting a private wedding tea ceremony. Chinese wedding tea ceremonies are a means for the bride and groom to thank their parents for raising them and symbolises the union of their families and friends. While all are welcome to attend, tea will be served only to close relatives for time constraints.
3:00 pm - 3:45 pm
The main event! Our ceremony is on the beach. The dress code is beach formal. Summer suits (ties optional) are advised for men, beachwear such as shorts, sandals and short sleeved shirts are to be avoided. Dresses are advised for ladies. Be aware of walking on the beach and grass which can be soft, so might want to rethink stilettos.
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Along with the cocktails and canapés, there will be a Séga dance show. The Séga is a dance which originated from the ritual music of central Africa and is the musical expression of the Mauritian way of life: joy and liveliness.
