Megan had officially sworn off dating. Done. Over it. Retired. That is, until a sunny day at a brewery when her friends—armed with craft beer and strong opinions—decided she needed to get back in the game. They took her phone, downloaded The League, and created a profile that was (debatably) Megan-approved. Her very first swipe? Joey. And just like that, their love story began. On 4/24/22, Megan and Joey met for their first date and immediately bonded over two of life’s greatest passions: sports and family. Sparks flew, conversations flowed, and Megan started to think that maybe—just maybe—she had found her person. But the real test? Meeting Uga, Joey’s English Bulldog and undisputed love of his life. Megan passed with flying colors (some salami bribery may have been involved... ) In fact, she and Uga entered a whirlwind romance of their own, leaving Joey to slowly realize he was third-wheeling in his own relationship. (He’s fine now. Mostly.) Fast forward to November 15, 2024: Joey got down on one knee and made it official—upgrading Megan from Uga’s girlfriend to Uga’s mom… and their forever teammate. Together, they’ve traveled near and far—adventures ahead of them, sunshine behind them—and through it all, they’ve realized that home isn’t a place. Home is wherever they are together… with their wonderfully lovable bulldog, Uga, snoring nearby. Life is just better together. We love traveling together, attending college football games together, sporting events, golfing, cooking together , and spending time with our (bulldog) son, Uga. We are in the midst of watching our house be built in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, and can’t wait to be full time suburbanites!
