Things To Do

While you're here... may as well enjoy the Colorado life!
Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

CO

This is a popular time of year for visitors to RMNP. You are REQUIRED to have a pre-booked timed entry ticket ($2) purchased from recreation.gov in addition to the entrance fee ($30 per vehicle). These are eligible for purchase on September 1st (or the first of the previous month that you plan to go) beginning at 8am mountain time. These sell out within minutes so please plan ahead!

Meow Wolf

Meow Wolf

2300 Steele Street, Denver, CO 80205

This place is a giant, trippy, immersive experience. We enjoyed it, but had to take breaks because it can be overstimulating.

Dazzle Denver

Dazzle Denver

1080 14th Street, Denver, CO 80202

This is one of our favorite date night spots! If you love live jazz music, charcuterie boards, and cocktails, you will love Dazzle. We recommend that if you buy tickets for a show, opt for anything in Row C (Table C1 is our fav.)

Golden

Golden

Golden, CO

We come here all the time to walk Lady and Sully around the creek! This is a very walkable little town. Find a parking spot, and explore! We recommend The Golden Mill for large groups to eat and drink (patio is dog friendly). Smaller breweries we love are Golden City Brewing and Mountain Toad Brewing. Our favorite tea shop is Old Barrel Tea Co. You can't go wrong with Snarf's Sandwiches. Lions Park is a great spot for a picnic. Woody's wood-fired pizza is all-you-can-eat pizza. Just be careful if you get a beer there- it comes in a huge stein!

Silver Dollar Lake Trail & Guanella Pass

Silver Dollar Lake Trail & Guanella Pass

Georgetown, CO 80435

Alex's favorite "local" hiking spot. This trail is located off of a scenic drive called Guanella Pass. We highly recommend this drive if you just want to see some fall colors. You can go all the way up to the top of the mountain and get some incredible views. For the hike: there is limited parking off Naylor Lake Rd., but if you're there by 7am, there's usually parking available. If you have an AWD vehicle, you can drive up the dirt road to the trailhead. From the trailhead, this trail is 4.1 miles, out and back. It's about 5 miles out and back if you park at the paved parking lot.
