Question

COVID-19

Answer

We've been very hesitant moving through the planning process due to the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic. The number of guests permitted at an event of this sort has changed drastically over the past year. Our plans have also changed several times as we have attempted to predict what the restrictions may be like in September of 2021. We have been watching the numbers closely, as well as the vaccine/ immunization schedule, and are more confident moving forward with our plans and our guest-list. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep everyone informed of any changes. In the meantime we encourage everyone to stay safe and sign up for vaccinations as soon as you are able ♥

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1st. This will give us time to finalize catering and other necessities. As we are behind schedule in this area, we ask that you consider your Save The Date card your formal invitation rather than waiting for an additional invitation card.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The gates of the vineyard will be open at 9:45am. We ask that guests be seated in the conservatory by 10:15 for the ceremony.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

There is ample parking on-site! We will be posting a map at the bottom of the home page soon, or just follow the signs on the property.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No strict dress code, only suggestions! The theme we are going for is "Whimsical Garden Party" for which we would recommend: sundresses, floral prints, pastels, lighter hues, fun hats and fascinators. No need to dress extra-formal, and please wear what makes you happy! Ceremony and reception will both be held outside, so we recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and shoes that will be comfortable for walking across grass and gravel. We have guests who are allergic to bug spray! We will have hypoallergenic alternatives available on-site if needed.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

As we are restricted to a certain number of guests due to the space where the ceremony will take place and possible COVID 19 restrictions, we are only extending plus-ones to family members of the bride and groom. If you are a member of the Gibb, Hall, Radford, Southwood, or Todd families and would like to bring a date to our wedding, please contact us to let us know.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We will love to have children at our wedding day. We will have lawn games and other activities suitable for children. If you would rather not stress about having them along with you, that's fine too!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We already have an idea of some of the dietary needs of our guests and want to be able to accomodate everyone as much as possible. Our current menu plan has gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options, and is peanut free. If there is anything else please don't hesitate to let us know!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, however once the ceremony is over and we move into greeting guests and reception you are more than welcome to take photos and video! The plant conservatory is cozy, and we want to make sure the photographer will have a clear, unobstructed view at all times. And the photos that she will be taking will be shared to anyone who wants them as soon as they're ready. So please, keep your phones, camera, tablets turned off, and be fully present with us throughout our ceremony, until the moment that we've walked out of the conservatory as a married couple ♥

Question

Can I post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

Feel free! We would love to see other photos our guests have taken. If you are going to post photos or video on social media platforms, please use the hastag #joelandkendra2021 so we'll be able to easily find and see them ourselves!

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

After spending nearly 9 years together, we are lucky enough to already have everything we need! However, for those who have expressed an interest in blessing us with a gift, there will be a "Treasure Chest" at the reception in which guests can place any well-wishes or personal gifts.
