When they met through mutual friends at a brewery in Denver, Kevin fell for Jodi's sweet Southern accent and curly blonde hair. Jodi fell for Kevin's denim on denim cut offs (let's be honest it was those legs!) and blonde 80's wig. After a few weeks of texting, Kevin asked Jodi out for a Trivia Night at Three Dogs Tavern, where their mutual love of IPAs and trivia kicked off the first of many fun dates. The rest, as they say, is history!
On a weekend getaway in Seattle, Kevin brought Jodi to the edge of Discovery Park so they could see the sunset in front of a small lighthouse. He got down on one knee, managed to hold on to the ring despite the whipping wind, and asked Jodi to be his wife. Once Jodi remembered how to speak, she said, "of course! YES!" through lots of happy tears.
When Covid hit in 2020, it threw all of our worlds into chaos and an unsure future. It was an incredibly trying time for all of us, and we had to make some tough decisions regarding our wedding plans. Staying true to our original wedding date meant a lot to us, but so did celebrating safely with friends and family. So, on March 27th, 2021, we eloped at sunrise in Rocky Mountain National Park on a beautiful and cold morning. We adventured on snowshoes through different locations in the park while our photographer beautifully captured our first moments as a married couple! Our elopement was something that we had never envisioned, but a story that we could never image any differently. We can't wait to celebrate our marriage and repeat our vows in front of our loved ones on 10/8/21!
